SpeakEasy Coach Requirements
To ensure the highest quality of service for our learners, we require that all coaches meet the following criteria:
Native English Proficiency
As a coach, it's crucial that you have clear and natural English pronunciation. Native proficiency ensures you provide the clearest examples, addressing the common challenges non-native speakers face on their journey to fluency.
International Living Experience
Coaches must have spent at least one year in a Mandarin or Cantonese-speaking country. This experience gives you insight into the linguistic and cultural nuances our students bring, enabling you to address their unique pronunciation challenges and connect authentically.
Academic Qualifications
A 4-year bachelor’s degree is required, with a preference for candidates who hold a Master’s degree. Your educational background ensures that you bring both knowledge and professionalism to the role.
Language Certification
To ensure top-quality coaching, we require proof of English mastery through standardized tests like IELTS, TOEFL, or CELPIP. This certification confirms that you possess a high level of English proficiency, enabling you to provide accurate pronunciation guidance.
